’t Korennaer, Sint-Niklaas

We had a very nice dinner here. 5 course menu with all fine dishes, with fresh ingredients amd just the right size not to feel stuffed at the end of the evening. Great matched wines. Place was packed but this did not impact service or atmosphere. Absolutely recommendable.

We had dinner at t’Korennaer only a few days ago and I feel I absolutely need to share my impressions. This Michelin star restaurant will offer you an experience which will awake all of your senses. The dishes are simply amazing, their presentation is nicely enhanced by the perfect use of lights and shadows at the table. Great wine pairing. As to the dishes, I really loved the combination of local ingredients with a touch of Japan. Definitely a place to visit again and for sure on my top list of best restaurants in Belgium!

Top class restaurant. The food was an excellent level and the presentation was very good. It is what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant, but the food was indeed at that level. We took the matching wine arrangement which was pretty good. The service that evening was a little off. It began very good but then seemed that there had been some words exchanged with the staff (kitchen visible behind glass). But even then they remained very professional. An excellent meal at Top Chef level.

Refined dishes, surprising combinations and tastes, beautiful presentations, delicious wines, pleasant atmosphere, professional service and so much more, nothing less than pure indulgence! The summary of a very successful evening!

We had heard good and bad comments about this restaurant. But we always wanted to try it so we were celebrating our 33 wedding anniversary when we booked a table for 2 on a Friday night in May. We were welcomed they asked us to take our coats immediately because that evening it as raining. We were taking to our seats a nice table with view on the kitchen in a quiet area of the restaurant with view either on the apero area or the back yard. We opted for the 5 course menu with pairing wines and we didn’t regret a minute we did this. The chefs are amazing each of them came to present whatever they had taken care off and that was a great experience. The pairing wines came fluently so we were happy that we didn’t had to drive. The introductions to each dish was amazing with the pairing wine. I had a glass of Champagne to start the evening and my husband had his favourite drink Gin & Tonic with Gin Mare which is one of the best Gins in the world. The experience was subliem we had asparagus, steak tartare, foie gras, fish, sweetbreads, lamb etc... I took the dessert but my husband had the cheese selection we had a special coffee to close off I had an Italian Coffee prepared excellent as well as my husband Irish Coffee. We left very happy with an amazing experience, great and delicious food. If we have the chance we will come back

The reception was friendly. The pace was good for a "chrono"-business lunch. Smart concept: super quality within a limited timeframe !

This restaurant is really top class in the Waasland. I’m surprised it did not get a Michelin star yet. Both the exquisite creative dishes the chef creates and the service are perfect. The only point against is that it lacks some cosyness, and the prices are rather steep.

My family took me to this place for lunch. Their owner/chef would came to each table to greet and introduce the menu of the day. (I guess so since he only speak Dutch and so my family would translated to me!) The prefix Lunch was like €35-45. Everything from each course of meal and service was outstanding.
