About us

Residenz is located right in the heart of the lively Duinoord neighbourhood of the Hague, on the almond-shaped Sweelinckplein square. The house was built in 1895 in preparation for the arrival of former emigrants returning from the Indias. We are a boutique hotel with the charm of a homely bed and breakfast and are ready to welcome you as our guests and offer a memorable stay.

superb rooms with fantastic hospitality

small privately owned and operated hotel in a quiet neighborhood. the spotless rooms are quite big, with a very stylish mix of vintage and modern furniture. the hosts have a superb sense of hospitality - and organize parking, bikes, tickets for public transportation for you the breakfast is outstanding and excellent dining options are very close by. we felt right at home and enjoyed staying at Residenz every second. to make it short: truly excellent!

Awesome hotel rooms.

Everything was perfect. The hotel is located right in the middle between Scheveningen Beach and the inner city of Den Haag in a very nice local area. The room and the bathroom were veery spacious and great designed & equipped with a balcony and a chimney. They gave us homemade breakfast in our room, which was very delicious. For the birthday of my boyfriend, I asked for a birthday cake, which he received right in the morning of his birthday. We got great recommendations for restaurants and all in all everything was done to make our stay as perfect as it could ever be. Thank you so much!!

Unbelievable!

Extremely cozy (fireplace, atmosphere, entourage), tidy (clean), friendly (help, flexibility, availability) and well located in a suburb of The Hague, close the the center, at a park, near a nice shopping and food/drinks street. Simply perfect ! Gijs

Unique boutique experience

We enjoyed our little staycation to the max. Very welcoming reception upon arrival. Parking available in front of the hotel. Safe neighborhood. walking distance to restaurant, supermarkt and small shops. The room was super spacious and the design is breathtaking. Breakfast is sumptuous! Thank you Petra & Frank for the 5 star service and hospitality!

Truly fabulous!

Stayed here on a sunny May weekend and Residence exceeded our expectations on every level. Beautiful high class rooms with sky high ceilings, premium furnishings, the best breakfast I’ve had in years brought to our room on a tray. We felt like VIP travelers thanks to the friendly hospitality of the owners and the wonderful location in one the Hague’s loveliest neighborhoods. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a bit extra special!
