What a remarkable place!

By coincidence I found this Indonesian restaurant online. I needed a catering for 90 colleagues of which 75% were from Indonesia. Talked to the owner, Frank, on the phone and what an impression he left behind! So much energy, so positive, so much fun; I knew directly that I made the perfect choice. This was confirmed after asking the Indonesian colleagues how they liked the food, they answered: "Like my mother cooks at home". Great for take-away, great for catering, great for having a authentic Indonesian meal in their restaurant.

Nice evening

Ate here with my family and we enjoyed everything. Good service, good advice for what to order and the food was delish. Definitely coming back.

Great food

We visited Betawi after a recommendation from an Indonesian man working at another restaurant. It was close to our hotel in sloterdijk, and tram 19 stopped right outside. A warm welcome from Frank, the slightly eccentric owner. Simple tables, plenty of space and a big menu. Los of people popping in to get a take away meal. Service was fine, with very nice caraffes of rose and red wine. We chose a mixed starter, which was delicious, followed by Nasi Goreng (yum) a beef Rendang (superb) and a goat curry dish (delicious). A lovely lady (I believe she was Frank’s wife) came over and had a lovely chat, and have us lots of sweets to take away. We had lots of food, some rose and red wine and the bill was 60€. Great value, especially in Amsterdam. Definitely recommend.

Very nice place

Have visited this restaurant in the beginning of April. Service is good, even though it was very busy our waiter did not forget about us. starters were great! The main course was fine. But the food is a bit pricy ;) Will visit you during our next trip to Amsterdam!!

Amazing Indonesian Reistafel Experience

Visited this restaurant with some friends and had the Reistafel Special, which was amazing. Every bite was delicious and the food was truly cooked with a lot of love. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Indonesian place in Amsterdam. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and have a good sense of humor. Only downside was that the beers only come in small bottles/glasses. In summary - don’t miss this place when you go to Amsterdam!!
